Building Blocks Fire Prevention

On October 11th, Vol. Hose visited Building Blocks Day Care Center in West Haverstraw as a part of our fire prevention initiative. Our very own firefighter, Hailey Willis, whom also happens to work at Building Blocks was able to participate in the presentations. Being that the kids are already familiar with "Ms. Hailey" (as they called her), it made the whole donning of fire protective equipment much more pleasant for them. It is critical to make sure the children are acquainted with how a firefighter looks with full gear so they don't hide away in fear in case of a real fire.
